Council Ceo Reappointed

Latrobe City Council Chief Executive Officer, Paul Buckley, has been reappointed by Council for a further five year term.

Latrobe City Council Mayor, Cr Lisa Price said that the appointment was a positive outcome for the community of Latrobe City.

"Paul Buckley is an exceptional CEO - a man of vision and integrity who is highly regarded both within the community and by a range of strategic stakeholders."

Cr Price said that Mr Buckley’s appointment provides stability to the leadership of the organisation.

"Mr Buckley has a firm commitment to this organisation and its community. His leadership over the past five years has seen unprecedented growth and a greater determination to engage and embrace the community as a strategic partner of Council.

"Mr Buckley is widely respected and admired by both his peers and colleagues alike and has been the driving force in organisational reform focused on improving quality of life outcomes for members of our community.

"He has been highly successful in developing a strong strategic framework for the organisation and possesses a firm belief in community engagement processes as an avenue to foster positive relationships between all sectors of our community," said Cr Price.

"Council believe that as a CEO Mr Buckley has demonstrated superior performance management, financial management and relationships development and we are delighted that he has accepted our offer of a further five year term."
