Howitt Park upgrade

Federal Member for Gippsland Darren Chester said the Stronger Communities Program grant will help cover costs to renovate the Howitt Park bathroom facilities to meet modern standards and improve disability access.

"Howitt Park is extensively used by the local community, serving 10 regular user groups in addition to many other groups on an occasional basis. The Stronger Communities Programme plays a vital role in empowering local groups to deliver projects that truly reflect the needs of their community."

"By providing targeted funding, it helps build stronger, more vibrant neighbourhoods in Gippsland, like enabling grassroots organisations to upgrade infrastructure, enhance participation, and ultimately strengthen the social fabric of our region. I look forward to seeing the improved Howitt Park facilities once the work is finished, which is expected to be later this year," Mr Chester said.
