Clint Eastwood - The REAL Independent Candidate for Gippsland East‘FIGHTING FOR OUR FUTURE’ By Clint Eastwood - 16th November 2006 - Back to News As we head into the final week before the election, Independent Candidate for the electorate of Gippsland East,
Clint Eastwood, is asking all voters to really think hard about their vote, and what effects their decision will have
on our future. Clint Eastwood thinks it’s time for change.
"Despite all of the political rhetoric and expensive spin, from both sides, our healthcare system is not healthy
and is in a growing state of decline, with doctors, nurses and other staff leaving in frustration,
many services have closed and patients are suffering or sadly dieing on waiting lists".
"This is just not good enough! We need action and investment; and less wasteful self-promotion!"
"Gippslanders are particularly fed up, and are not being treated with equality, fairness and respect.
I am and our region is asking (and warning), whoever is elected on November 25,
that the Gippsland community is angry and is sick of being treated like poor country cousins".
"We will NOT continue to accept our roads being dangerous to drive on.
Our shires simply can’t cope with the ‘job at hand’.
Many of our roads are the same as they were during the gold rush".
"We will NOT continue to accept our farmers and our rural communities being in a constant state of crisis.
A neighbour from hell, an endless drought and government negligence. It’s killing them!"
"And we will NOT continue to accept Melbourne ‘stealing’ any more of Gippsland’s water,
and in return receiving their sewerage and toxic waste. If you want a fight, you’ve got one!" said Clint.
"The facts are plain to see. Gippslanders know, that the choices we make will affect our future".
"Enough is enough! If we must, we will fight for our future. It’s time for: A Vote For Change!"
"So, what matters to you, your family, your friends and your community?
Will you vote for more of the same, or will you vote for ‘A fair go for Gippsland’ ?"
"Without Gippsland, Melbourne Fails"
"The choice is yours – It’s now up to you".
