2013 Racv Victorian Tourism Awards The who’s who of the tourism industry has recognised excellence at the 29th RACV Victorian Tourism awards held last evening. By Russell Northe - 14th November 2013 - Back to News Member for Morwell and Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Tourism Russell Northe today in Parliament congratulated Montfort Manor on winning an award at the RACV Tourism Awards.
He said "Well done to David and Melinda Wilson from Montfort Manor Traralgon for their deserved success last evening in winning the "Hosted Accommodation" category of the 2013 RACV Tourism Awards."
Mr Northe said "The tourism awards celebrate business excellence and recognise outstanding achievements in the Victorian tourism industry. "The awards celebrate the achievements of those who strive for tourism excellence and quality to make Victoria a world-class tourism destination," he said. "Montfort Manor comprises four luxury rooms that accommodate corporate business travellers, romantic weekenders, honeymoon couples and sophisticated leisure travellers. "The adults-only luxury retreat is situated on 7.5 acres of superbly landscaped gardens 4km from Traralgon’s CBD.
Owner of Montfort Manor David Wilson said "This is a wonderful acknowledgement of what Montfort Manor strives to offer.
"We are honoured to have also won this category, Hosted Accommodation, in 2010 and 2012.
"We want our guests to feel special, to enjoy the peace and serenity of our gardens to relax in seclusion. "We have tried to create an adults only, paradise right here in Traralgon and the award is recognition of this."
Montfort Manor will now represent Victoria at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Sydney in February next year.
