Ingram Calls For More Railway Station Parking

The Independent Member for Gippsland East, Craig Ingram, has called on the Minister for Public Transport to provide further parking spaces at the Bairnsdale Railway Station.

"I have previously raised this matter with the Minister and Department of Infrastructure and given that the rail service is increasing in popularity, this matter should be given the utmost consideration by the State Government," Mr Ingram said.

"The Bairnsdale Station has limited parking spaces available and at particular times of the day is extremely busy with vehicles picking up or dropping off passengers from either buses or trains.

"There is land available adjacent to the site which has been identified as suitable to develop for parking and it is essential that this is done as soon as possible," Mr Ingram concluded.
