through a series of Have Your Say Open Houses to be held across the state throughout March 2011. Nationals Member for Morwell Russell Northe said the 13 state-wide events held by EPA Victoria will be a chance for the community to drop in and talk with EPA staff about issues that are important to them, and to the environment. "These issues could include environmental justice and the equitable distribution of pollution problems within our community, reducing consumption of energy, water and material goods, the management of land, air, water and noise pollution, reducing the impacts of a growing population on local environments, or anything of particular interest to the community. "The events are a chance for the community to stop by and find out more about what EPA does, and for EPA staff to talk to the community about the findings of its review of compliance and enforcement activities. Community members can stay for ten minutes, or the whole evening.

"The process may assist EPA in how they manage emerging challenges, and it is important that those community members who have concerns regarding particular issues speak up and have their say." The Latrobe Valley will be hosting a session, at Century Inn Traralgon on Thursday 17 March 2011, from 5:00 – 8:30pm.

To register your attendance email: community.engagement@epa.vic.gov.au or call (03) 5173 9800 or (03) 9695 2722.
