FReeZA regional training to be held in Sale

Wellington Shire Council is encouraging local FReeZA committee members and interested youth to attend the FReeZA regional training sessions to be held at the Wellington Youth Space in Sale on 28 and 29 June

By Wellington Shire Council - 21st June 2004 - Back to News

Existing committee members and those keen to become involved from Wellington, East Gippsland, Bass Coast and Latrobe Shires are welcome to attend the sessions - conducted by youth organisation The Push - and will learn about event management, publicity and promotion.

FReeZA is a State Government initiative supported by Wellington Shire Council and is run by a committee comprised of local young people who take an active role in organising and running social events.

Said Wellington’s Mayor Jeff Amos: "FReeZA is an extremely worthwhile initiative giving young people the chance to expand their range of organisational and leadership skills. The shire is delighted to host this regional training to bring together all of the dedicated youth committees who make this wonderful service available to their peers."

More information about the FReeZA regional training sessions is available by telephoning Wellington’s Youth Development Officer David Roberts on 1300 366 244.
