Baw Baw Shire 2023 Community Satisfaction Survey program commences 1 June sampling resident feedback by phone
Baw Baw Community Satisfaction Survey program to begin, sampling resident sentiment four times a year, aiming to assess service delivery and gather valuable feedback for improvement.
The Community Satisfaction Survey program is set to commence in Baw Baw from 1 June, with residents advised that they may soon receive a phone call inviting participation. Unlike previous years, the Victorian government's annual program will now sample resident sentiment four times a year to provide a more consistent measure of community satisfaction across the full 12 months.
Council's performance rating improved for two years, excelling in customer service and waste management, while other areas remained average
Survey interviews
Previously, the survey was conducted just once a year, throughout March. The new program will see independent market research agency, National Field Services conduct 100 telephone interviews with a random selection of residents during each of the four survey periods to assess the service delivery of Baw Baw Shire Council against a range of measures. The survey interviews will take place throughout the following dates:
- 1 June 2023 to 2 July 2023
- 17 August 2023 to 17 September 2023
- 1 November 2023 to 3 December 2023
- Feb/Mar 2024 *exact dates to be confirmed
"The yearly community satisfaction survey results provide us with valuable insight into areas where we perform well and those areas that we could improve in," says Baw Baw Shire Mayor, Annemarie McCabe.
Continuous improvement encouraged
Cr McCabe said, "For the past two years, we were pleased to see an increase in our overall performance, but we are always looking to improve. I highly encourage our residents to take part in the surveys as they receive the calls. They don't take very long, and the results are very helpful for the ongoing work of the council and to help improve our service delivery for all residents".
All resident details and individual responses to the survey are strictly anonymous. The overall results will be published to the community following the completion of the program and made available on council's website at Community Satisfaction Survey page.
