Council Puts Wurruk Issues On Agenda For Residents Meeting

Wellington Shire Council is inviting residents to have their say on shaping the future of Wurruk

By Karen Gregory - 10th October 2002 - Back to News

Council has organised a residents meeting at Wurruk Neigbourhood Centre on Wednesday 16 October from 1.30pm-3pm.

Mayor Malcolm Hole said the meeting would be a friendly, informal discussion on issues such as the best site for a new public telephone, the youth "Rage Cage", and the Wurruk-Sale Pathway.

"I visited the Centre with Council Officers a couple of months ago after it become apparent that there were matters out at Wurruk that needed attention," he said.

"We listened to everyone’s concerns and arranged to tackle a number of key issues raised at that time.

"This meeting will provide an update on those issues and give everyone the opportunity to draw Council’s attention to other matters of concern."
