Fires in Gippsland

Prompt action by DSE firefighters has resulted in two fires being quickly contained in the Gippsland region tonight.

A fire which was burning in scrub on public and private land 10 kilometres south of Dargo burnt around 1 ha and was attacked by a fixed wing bomber dropping fire retardant before being contained.

A second fire 17 kilometres north-east of Buchan at Jacksons Crossing has also been quickly contained.
