Jacinta Allan’s rail commitment today fails to address ongoing delays on the Gippsland line.
Additional carriages on two weekday services and station upgrades are just hot air if they don’t actually resolve the problems Latrobe Valley passengers have been crying out for the Andrews Government to fix.
This includes more peak services and the duplication of tracks on the Gippsland to which the Coalition committed to in 2014.
Daniel Andrews has neglected commuters on Gippsland’s public transport network for too long.

The Andrews Government has failed to listen to Gippsland passengers frustrated by constant delays to our local rail services.
The track between Longwarry and Bunyip is in desperate need of duplication to increase the number of services to our region.
It’s time the city-centric Andrews Government stopped putting Melbourne rail projects before these critical improvements to our regional rail services.
