Council Plan Up For CommentBass Coast Shire Council has asked the community to comment on its proposed Council Plan for 2006-2010. By Bass Coast Shire Council - 23rd June 2006 - Back to News The draft Plan was considered by the Council at its Ordinary Meeting on Wednesday night and is now available to the public.
Mayor, Cr Neville Goodwin, said the Council Plan will be a document that directs Council’s activities for the next four years.
"The Plan articulates this Council’s vision for the future of Bass Coast and outlines the strategies to fulfil that vision.
"It is an important tool in determining where Council’s financial resources will be directed.
"It will also help to measure the performance of the Council and its officers," explained Cr Goodwin.
Once adopted, the Plan is subject to an annual review, advised Cr Goodwin.
"I encourage the community to take a look and give us some feedback – our vision should reflect what our community views as the important issues."
The proposed Council Plan 2006-2010 is available for inspection at the following offices, alternatively please phone 5671 2211 or 5951 3311 to receive a copy in the mail:
