Omeo Mountain Bike Trails has launched a new website and shuttle services, with 40 km open now and the full 114 km network officially debuting this summer for riders nationwide.

Shuttle services now running

We’re stoked to announce the launch of two Omeo shuttle services, operated by Blue Dirt and Gravity Dirt Co. Blue Dirt and Gravity Dirt Co are taking weekend bookings and some weekdays, with more days to be added as the weather warms up.

If you’re chasing the gravity trails, this is the way to go - the average time to climb from Livingstone Park to the top of the bike park via the mountain bike trail network is up to two hours! So, unless you’re an XC billygoat, cut the climbs and focus on gravity-fed fun. Plus, the official shuttle service keeps our roads safe, and ride days are far more fun with a bus full of riders. Looking for a long weekend adventure? Melbourne Cup Weekend is the perfect excuse to put your bikes on the roof and hit the High Country. Stay a few nights, ride a few days, and discover why Omeo is the new must-do destination. Here’s what else you can do:

This December, we’ll officially launch the complete 114 km trail network – the biggest new MTB destination in regional Australia. With 40 km of fresh trail now open and the final sections wrapping up, this summer is set to be next-level. Expect a mix of:

• Long adventure loops
• Freeride jump lines
• Technical descents and flow sections
• Epic views from the summit of Sam Hill

Park essentials

• 41 trails - from green (easy) to double-black (heart-stopping and hair-raising)
• 25 - 45 minute descents

Starting out at Omeo? Here’s how to make your day safe and enjoyable:

Sea Otter Australia - Mogo, NSW | 24-26 Oct

Omeo MTB Park brought the High Country vibes to the first-ever Sea Otter Australia - the nation’s largest cycle festival and expo.

Riders flocked to the Omeo MTB booth for daily sessions and trail talks.

A highlight was welcoming Omeo trail builder and Enduro elite Connor Mielke. The World Cup rider shared her experience with the all-female crew that built the Miss Adventure descent and signed gear.

In partnership with Common Ground Trails, we’ll present Building an MTB Park with a Purpose – exploring the creation of the trail network and the community benefits delivered by Council.

On the trail of community growth

Mayor Cr John White, Deputy Mayor Sonia Buckley and councillors recently spent two days in Omeo and met with locals and business owners to talk tourism, infrastructure and future opportunities for the town. A highlight was visiting Omeo MTB Park, including the peak of Sam Hill, to see firsthand what the park offers riders from across Australia and the welcome boost it’s giving to local businesses and the wider community.
