Put your phone down and connect through art at Cowes’ new Analog Art Club starting 1st of December 2026Analog Art Club launches at Berninneit Art Gallery, Cowes, on 1 December, offering free monthly phone-free mornings with art, creative workshops and conversations led by artists and curators. Registration is essential. By news@gippsland - 2nd November 2026 - Back to News One morning a month you’re invited to do something radical (for these days): put the phone down, look and connect. Analog Art Club launches at Berninneit Art Gallery in Cowes on Tuesday, 1 December 2026, and it’s free. On the first Tuesday of every month, you’ll get unhurried, offline, phone-free time with the art on the walls, guided by the artists and curators who made it happen.
Free monthly Analog Art Club sessions launch at Berninneit Gallery, Cowes, on 1 December, offering phone-free art experiences, creative workshops and conversations with artists and curators Art meets the communityExpect real conversation, hands-on creative activities, panel discussions, workshops and big questions. No scrolling, no pinging, no rush. Just you, the work and the people in the room. It’s a rare kind of morning when everything else is buzzing in your pocket and competing for your attention. This one is purposeful, slow and close-up. Analog Art Club is a joint initiative of the Public Galleries Association of Victoria (PGAV) and ArtsHub, running under a shared name across participating galleries statewide. At Berninneit, each session is built around the exhibitions and artists in the gallery, so you can sit with the work and really contemplate it. Connecting through artBass Coast Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari said Analog Art Club offered a refreshing chance to put the phone down and connect with people: "Analog Art Club is pretty simple really. It's about getting out of the house, meeting a few people and having a conversation. On a Tuesday morning once a month, if you're a Cowes local or just spending some time on Phillip Island, come along and give it a go." "That's the whole idea, to connect with people. Art has an amazing way of starting conversations, and those conversations can be the first step in increasing connections, easing loneliness and isolation," he said. Attendance is free but limited capacity so registration is essential.
