Member for Eastern Victoria Harriet Shing today visited the museum to launch the Walhalla Alive Virtual Reality Experience - a VR experience that will help bring Walhalla during the gold mining boom to life. 
A $50,000 Tiny Towns Fund grant supports Walhalla Museum upgrades, among 500 projects improving facilities, tourism and community connections across regional Victoria Walhalla Museum upgradeThe project includes a flexible, multilingual space for visitors that will provide visitors with a more accessible and engaging way to explore Walhalla's rich gold mining history. The Walhalla Museum Upgrade and Development project was funded through a $50,000 grant from the Carroll Labor government. It's one of more than 500 projects supported through our Tiny Towns Fund making hundreds of regional Victoria's smallest towns better places to live, work, stay and play. These projects reach all corners of our state, providing even more opportunities for local connection and visitation by improving facilities and delivering infrastructure upgrades that make our small communities thrive. The grants of between $5,000 and $50,000 help regional communities with up to 5,000 people connect, boost tourism and support local workers during project development. More than $50 billion has been delivered through the Carroll Labor government over the past decade to make our regions even better places to live, work, visit and study. Labor is delivering the infrastructure Victoria needs, while Jess Wilson's One Nation-Liberal Coalition are planning $40 billion in cuts.
