Baw Baw Employment Expo returns this September to connect job seekers with local employers and training providers

Baw Baw Employment Expo returns September 30, connecting job seekers with local employers, vacancies and training providers. The free event also offers resume support, networking opportunities, industry insights, coffee vouchers and lunch.

For the third-year running, our hugely successful Employment Expo is returning this September, to assist the Baw Baw community to discover local employment opportunities. Job seekers will have the chance to explore current vacancies, network with hiring employers, as well as access advice from training providers.

Jobs expo connects

Local businesses can also showcase their services at this free community event, helping to raise their profile and connect with potential future employees. Job seekers can gain valuable insights into their industry and the skills, qualifications, and experience needed to pursue a career in the sector. There will also be free resume and key selection criteria writing support available on the day.

Baw Baw Shire Mayor Councillor Kate Wilson is excited to see what the Expo has on offer this year. "For the past two years, the Employment Expo has provided our community with a fantastic in-person opportunity to connect hiring employers with job seekers, removing some of the barriers that recruitment processes often face in the digital age".

"With the launch of the Gippsland Jobs Hub last year (a free platform for employers to advertise local employment opportunities), the Expo is a great way for users of the Hub to meet each other face-to-face and establish more tangible connections."
