Bass Coast Shire Council recently presented the Venus Bay Community House with $4,000 as a contribution towards community development activities in the Inverloch area.

Cr Noel Maud, Councillor for Townsend Ward, presented a cheque to the Community House and officially opened their Inverloch office. The Community House will operate out of the Inverloch Lodge, Cnr Wilson Ave and Williams Street. Cr Maud said that Bass Coast Shire Council was very pleased to be supporting local people and activities.

If you have any ideas for local activities and events, or if you would simply like to drop in and have a chat over a cuppa, you are invited to attend a morning tea at The Lodge on Wednesday 13 August at 10am.

If you enjoyed participating the Sun, Surf & Sand Festival of Fun & Learning Festival last summer, you may be interested to know that there is a ‘Think Tank’ meeting at "The Office" on Tuesday 16 July from 10am. Please come along and discuss ideas for next year’s festival.

For more information contact co-ordinator Betty Tomada, Tuesdays 10am – 12 noon and Wednesdays 10am – 3pm on 5674 2444.
