Gippsland Tourism gets Interactive on Gippsland.com

Kickstarting the region's tourism on the web

Gippsland Portal Representative Antony Svasek recently met with the Gippsland Tourist Information Centre Managers to discuss their role in the Portal.

Gippsland, a beautiful region with many natural attractions and country appeal is an ideal holiday destination for those that are tired of the bustling city life.

In this meeting tentative plans were made to create an interactive role for Gippsland’s various branches of tourism with visitors to the Gippsland.com website.

When tourists find their way onto the website, each division would be available for advice and would offer information packs (brochures and maps) to be mailed to potential visitors.

The meeting took place inside one of the beautiful highway-side shops in Gippsland town of Yarragon. Tony reported that the coffee was great, the atmosphere pleasant and the service fantastic.

Final decisions regarding the involvement of the Tourism centres are still to come.
