New big slide nears completion at Baromi Park, bringing fun back to Mirboo North playground soonThe new Big Slide at Baromi Park is nearly ready! Landscaping will finish soon, restoring this much-loved Mirboo North playground feature after storm damage earlier this year. Thank you for your patience. By news@gippsland - 27th June 2025 - Back to News The Baromi Park slide has suffered serious damage, making it unsafe for the public to use making it unsafe for the public to use. Council actively assessed whether the slide can be repaired or will need to be replaced. 
The Big Slide at Baromi Park in Mirboo North is nearing completion, with final landscaping works to finish in coming weeks before it's ready for use again The new Big Slide is almost ready! Council has constructed a replacement Big Slide in Mirboo North's Baromi Park. Storms damaged the playground favourite earlier in the year. Landscaping works around the slide will be completed in the next few weeks and it will be ready for use once again. We will provide an update when the project is complete.
