Ingram Welcomes ‘Coota Boat Ramp ProgressThe Independent Member for Gippsland East, Craig Ingram, has welcomed this week’s public release of an Environmental Effects Statement (EES) for construction of a new ocean access boat ramp at Mallacoota. By Craig Ingram MP - 6th June 2007 - Back to News Mr Ingram has been a long-time advocate for improved ocean access at Bastion Point and today encouraged members of the Gippsland community to make a submission to the panel.
"The release of the EES is the next welcome stage in the process to provide a safe and sensible ocean access point at Mallacoota," he said.
"Submissions will be taken until July 16 and an independent panel will assess the EES and conduct hearings.
"I will also be making a submission highlighting the importance of the boat ramp for the Mallacoota and district community," Mr Ingram concluded.
