DSE fire crews are now working on blacking out the fire areas and will continue to patrol and monitor until the fires can be declared safe.

Regional Fire Manager David Tainsh said that these early fires must serve as a warning to all to be prepared for the prospect of more and bigger bushfires this season.

"These recent fires show how dry the bush is and how easily a fire can spread, whatever the cause. We must all remain vigilant as we head into this year’s bushfire season and prepare to protect ourselves and our properties," Mr Tainsh said.
