Gippsland Business Awards UpdateNow registered as an event in the Australian Innovation Festival By Eimear McNelis - 9th April 2002 - Back to News The 6th Annual Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards have been registered as an event in the Australian Innovation Festival.
The festival, established to promote Australian innovation, aims to develop an "innovative culture" that will nurture good ideas, seek new investment opportunities, reward enterprise, promote creative working environments, commit to lifelong learning and support entrepreneurs.
All together there will be more than 100 events and activities throughout Australia which will also showcase some of Australia’s innovative enterprises that are successfully operating in global markets.
Finalists have been chosen for the Federation Health Gippsland Business Awards for the categories Environmental Performance, Manufacturing/Export, Primary Producer, Retailing, Accommodation, Hospitality, Commerce/Information Communications Technology, New Business, Service and Tourism.
All finalists will be judged for the 2002 Business of the Year, which will be the most outstanding business from all categories.
The Federation Health 2002 Gippsland Business Awards will be announced on May 3 at a gala dinner, which will be held at the Premiere Function Centre in Traralgon.
Bookings are still being taken for the dinner, with tickets at $55 per head, which includes a 3-course meal. The dinner will be hosted by Denise Drysdale with entertainment by Rod Quantock.
