Applications for Made in Victoria Manufacturing Growth Program with grants of up to $250,000 open until 19 Dec 2023

Melina Bath emphasises Eastern Victoria's pivotal role in manufacturing, inviting applications for two funding rounds: Manufacturing Growth Program ($250,000 grants) and Energy Technologies Manufacturing Program ($100,000 to $750,000 grants).

Local manufacturers are encouraged by The Nationals Member for Eastern Victoria Melina Bath to apply for funding under The Made in Victoria program. The funding opportunity can be used to expand operations, boost productivity, generate local jobs, and to transition to net zero emissions. "Manufacturing is a major contributor to our regional economy in Eastern Victoria with the region known on the global stage, which generates billions for the economy, as well as employment opportunities," said Ms Bath.

Manufacturing grants available

There are two funding rounds open. Small and medium-sized Victorian manufacturers can apply for grants under Round 2 of the Made in Victoria - Manufacturing Growth Program. Grants of up to $250,000 will support businesses to introduce new technologies, improve productivity and competitiveness in local and global supply chains, upskill workers and create new jobs. Round 2 closes December 19, 2023.

Applications are also open for the Made in Victoria - Energy Technologies Manufacturing Program to support manufacturers to purchase or develop new equipment, skills, or technology enabling them to capitalise on renewable energy opportunities. Grants of between $100,000 and $750,000 are available to increase capacity to manufacture components for zero emissions and renewable energy supply chains. This round closes December 13, 2023.

Ms Bath said, "Manufacturing grants are an opportunity to secure investment into innovative projects that will improve sustainability, expand operations, invest in new equipment and grow the capabilities of staff."
