Statement – Transport and Community Safety ImprovementsRussell Northe welcomes any support that would improve crime and antisocial behaviour at local transportations. By Portal Admin - 29th July 2018 - Back to News Member for Morwell, Russell Northe said today that he welcomed any support that would improve crime and antisocial behaviour at our local train stations, taxi ranks and bus interchanges.
In February of this year, I announced a Latrobe Transport and Community Safety policy that sought to introduce a number of key initiatives across the Latrobe Valley to deal with unacceptable behaviour on our public transport system and at our transport interchanges.
I am pleased the Coalition has today announced that it would adopt one element of my previously announced Latrobe Transport and Community Safety initiative, and I also hope the current Government will do the same for the benefit of Gippsland commuters, taxi drivers, bus drivers and V/Line staff.
