Turn Your Water Efficiency Into A Winner

East Gippsland Water is encouraging those with a great water efficiency initiative to enter it for an award and have their effort recognised.

There is the DSE-sponsored Water Efficiency Improvements Award targeted at businesses, community groups, farmers, households and individuals, which is being promoted as part of this year's Regional Achievement & Community Awards.

Initiatives may relate to water use for a garden or crops, a sports facility, or an agricultural or business process for example. They must have been delivered between 1 January 2010 and 17 July 2012.

Nomination forms are also available from East Gippsland Water's office at 133 Macleod Street, Bairnsdale, during business hours.

In addition there is the savewater! awards(r) scheme, now in its tenth year. Run by the savewater!(r) Alliance, this is designed to reward excellence in water efficiency by businesses, government, schools, local communities and individuals. There are nine award categories, as well as the Overall Award for Excellence. The categories are:
