Mr Chester added, "I secured $5 million from the previous federal government for the project which would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of local volunteers.
"This project is a collaboration of all levels of government with funding from East Gippsland Shire Council and the state government. Once complete the facility will support local sportspeople and provide the community with an exceptional sporting venue." Mr Chester said.
