"A number of farmers and landholders in the Dargo / Wonnangatta area have contacted me to express their concerns about the introduction of recent amendments to Wellington Shire Council’s Rural Zoning regulations," Mr Ingram said.

"Property owners are disappointed that they have not been fully informed about these changes to the Rural Zoning regulations and are particularly concerned about the potential impact Amendments C40 and C43 will have on their properties.

"The Dargo community is keen to meet with Wellington Shire Council representatives in a public forum to discuss the zoning amendments in more detail and to gain a greater understanding of how these amendments will affect them.

"A public meeting has been arranged at the Dargo Community Hall on Saturday, October 13 commencing at 10am and I urge all interest community members to attend.

"I understand the Dargo community has formally extended an invitation to Wellington Shire councillors and appropriate shire staff to attend this public meeting, and I have written to the council to reinforce this invitation," Mr Ingram concluded.
