Supporting aged care
Stretton Park is a community-run, not-for-profit residential aged care facility that has provided services to the Maffra district for 45 years. "The committee has done an incredible job to modernise facilities for older residents in the past, and we were able to secure some grant funding from the previous Coalition Government to help with the redevelopment project."
"It's hard for volunteers to run a high-quality service and then fundraise for new works. I'm lobbying my colleagues in Canberra to seek some funding support to help the committee undertake the next stage of works to modernise some additional rooms with a focus on bathroom facilities and meeting modern safety standards," Mr Chester said.
