Wonthaggi Kindergartens Inc The Wonthaggi Kindergartens Inc (Murray Street Campus) has finally moved from its 14 year temporary premises at Moonya, Murray Street, Wonthaggi into its own brand new purpose built building, By The Wonthaggi Kindergartens Inc - 10th October 2008 - Back to News incorporated within the grounds of the Wonthaggi Primary School.
The Kindergarten, together with the Wonthaggi Primary School and Bass Coast Shire Council, believe that this development will give parents/carers the option of allowing their children to go from Kindergarten all through Primary School at the one location.
This exciting new initiative has been brought about by the relentless efforts of the three way partnership involving the Committee and Staff of Wonthaggi Kindergartens Inc, the Wonthaggi Primary School and Bass Coast Shire Council. Many members of the community have been actively involved in the realising of this development. Also, there have been many generous local businesses who have gone above and beyond our expectations, TS Constructions, Paint Place Wonthaggi and Wonthaggi Locksmiths to name a few.
The project has been seven years in the making, from the initial conception to the (almost!) final completion. We believe that the project will be the blueprint of future education trends.
The Wonthaggi Kindergarten started operating sessions from the new premises at 27 Drysdale Street on Monday 6th October 2008. The building will be officially opened by Maxine Morand MP, Minister for Children & Early Childhood Development, on Tuesday 14th October 2008 at 2:30pm.
