"This project has been at the planning stage for decades, but the current progress is a most positive indication of the shire’s and government’s commitment in seeing a safe and accessible boat ramp at Bastion Point," Mr Ingram said.

"I am grateful of the support from the Mallacoota community and the Mallacoota Ocean Access Committee (MOAC) in driving the project and welcome Mr Don Healy of Laysell Pty Ltd who is the project manager.

"I call on all of the Mallacoota and East Gippsland community to support the project and the EES process.

"All those who will benefit from the facility are encouraged to support MOAC in raising the $30,000 community share of the EES costs," Mr Ingram said.
