Ms Cumming said, "We understand our customers want to spend the festive break with those most important to them, which can mean added costs like gifts, celebrations and travel expenses. It's important customers can enjoy this time without the added pressure of an unpaid water bill."
"We can easily and confidentially help customers switch to a flexible payment plan that allows bills to be paid in smaller, regular instalments and is tailored to their needs. We're here to help. If you're finding it hard to keep up with your water bill, please reach out to us. Our friendly customer care team is ready to help find the best option for you," she said.
Flexible payment options also include payment extensions for those who need a little longer to pay their bill, assistance applying for government utility relief grants, and referrals to financial counsellors and government assistance programs. To find out more, visit Gippsland Water website.
