Keep yourself safe when using technology and 'Stop Check Reject says Russell Broadbent
The rapid rise of technology has changed the way we go about our everyday lives.
From 'tap and go' to internet banking - the world is constantly changing. And how we keep ourselves cyber safe is changing too. As your federal member, I have received a large number of calls and emails about your concerns with cyber security.
'Stop. Check. Reject.' Scammers are becoming more sophisticated in the way they try and steal our money or personal details
Protect your financial security
Whether its scam calls, texts, or general financial security matters - modern technology has created new ways for the average Australian to fall victim to cybercrime. That's why it is so important to stay informed on how you can be safe online.
No matter what banking institution you use, there are measures in place to protect your financial security. If you are concerned that you have been contacted by a scammer, make sure you report this with your relevant communications or financial institution, or contact the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
