School holiday program at the LibraryThe Latrobe City Library Service is providing a holiday program aimed at primary school children during the coming holiday period at the Moe, Morwell and Traralgon libraries. By Latrobe City Council - 30th March 2005 - Back to News Latrobe City Library Programs Officer, Noeline Grayden said the program would provide activities for children in a fun and creative environment.
Children aged eight and over are invited to learn how to make and decorate cards using various simple designs and techniques. This activity will take place on Thursday 7 April and the cost is $5 per child. Booking is recommended as numbers are limited. Payment is required upon booking.
Session times and booking details for the card making activity are as follows:
Morwell Library: 9.30am to10.30am. Telephone 5128 5436
Traralgon Library: 11.15am to12.15pm. Telephone 5176 3630
Moe Library: 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Telephone 5135 8350
Ms Grayden added that younger children would not miss out on the fun during the holidays.
A free event, the Teddy Bears Picnic story time, will be held for children up to eight years of age.
"Children should bring along their favourite teddy bear or stuffed toy and some party food to share. The children will then listen to stories, do an activity and share the food at the picnic," Ms Grayden explained.
Dates and times for the Teddy Bears Picnic story time are as follows:
Morwell Library: Tuesday 12 April at 11am
Moe Library: Wednesday 13 April at 10.45am
Traralgon Library: Thursday 14 April at 10.30am
Library patrons are reminded that Churchill Library is closing during the school holiday period.
