Raymond Island Ferry OutEast Gippsland Shire has announced that the Raymond Island ferry will be out of service from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm next Tuesday, 23 October. By East Gippsland Shire Council - 19th October 2007 - Back to News Operational wear resulting from the June flood event and recent strong winds require the drive chains to be tightened.
Arrangements for Raymond Island residents and visitors include:
- Train connection service at 5.30 am
- Continuous ferry operation from 7.00 am to 9.00 am
- Free continuous water taxi service from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm
- A barge for commercial and emergency vehicle use only
