New Path In Inverloch

Inverloch residents have been pounding the new pavement between The Glade and Grandview Grove.

By Bass Coast - 17th November 2010 - Back to News

Bass Coast Shire Council’s Infrastructure Director, Steve Piasente said Council would be applying for additional funding to complete the path right through to Cuttriss Street.

"Eventually, the pathway will connect the existing path of Abbott Street to Rainbow Park through The Glade area to Cuttriss Street in line with the Inverloch Foreshore Reserve Masterplan," said Mr Piasente.

"This is just the first step of the eastern link between the Glade Area to Cuttriss Street along the foreshore of Inverloch."

The $80,000 path completed in July was funded under Round Two of the Regional and Local Communities Infrastructure Program (RLCIP) within the Nation Building Stimulus Program.

The 300 metre long, 2.5 metre wide path is a shared pathway designed for use by pedestrians and bike riders.

Council will apply for further funding early in 2011.
