Tell Us What You Think About Parking In The Traralgon Cbd

Latrobe City Council wants your feedback on the changes to time limited parking in Traralgon’s CBD implemented in December last year.

By Latrobe City - 10th May 2012 - Back to News

The limit was raised from one hour to two hours and now we want to know what impact the change has had to ease of access to facilities, pedestrian and cycle safety and business activity. A survey is now available to complete.

Ward Councillor, Dale Harriman, said that the feedback would inform a draft Car Parking Strategy and draft Parking Precinct Plan currently under development.

"These strategies should reflect the views of all users of the CBD and so we really hope that residents and business owners will let us know whether the changes have been successful.

"The results from the survey will provide the recently established Parking Precinct Plan Working Group with further information about the car parking needs of all stakeholders.

"With the community’s help we can get the car parking in the Traralgon CBD right and ensure that the Traralgon Activity Centre Plan project captures the needs of the people who live and work in Traralgon," Cr Harriman said.

The survey is available on the Latrobe City Council website until 7 May 2012, visit: http://www.latrobe.vic.gov.au/HaveaSay/.

Hard copies are also available at the Traralgon service centre in Kay Street.
