‘Threshold’ Takes You Into The Mysterious Depths Of Your ImaginationAustralian illusionist, Cosentino’s brand new production ‘Threshold’ will take you into the mysterious depths of your imagination as you witness the art of illusion, dance and escapes at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre By Latrobe City - 24th October 2008 - Back to News Traralgon on Tuesday 28 October from 7pm and Wednesday 29 October from 10.30am
Latrobe City’s performing arts and venues coordinator, Kathleen Roberts said that by manipulating the mind, body and soul, Cosentino proves that even the human body can surpass its limited threshold.
"Following in the footsteps of his 2007 Helpmann Award nominated production ‘Evolution’, the show combines dazzling magic and illusions blended with energetic dance, dangerous and nail biting escapes, audience participation, humour and many surprising twists," Ms Roberts said.
Cosentino is a self-taught performer, spending his early years studying magic books and performing for family and friends. At just 23 years of age, he has already won a number of prestigious awards, including three times Australian Champion Magician and the first prize at the Adelaide Magic Convention.
"Highlights of the show include an elaborate water escape; an illusion that sees an assistant placed into a tight vertical cabinet and divided into eight pieces; everyday items bending and shattering on command; and a straight jacket escape.
"This one-hour show must be seen to be believed. Cosentino leaves audiences on the edge of their seats," Ms Roberts concluded.
‘Threshold’ is on at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre, Traralgon on Tuesday 28 October at 7pm; and again on Wednesday 29 October from 10.30am. For more information, or for tickets, contact the Box Office on 5176 3559.
