Tell us your opinion See what others have saidThe first annual Gippsland Ethical and Alternate Expo will be held on Sunday the 27th May at Monash University (Churchill Campus). The expo will showcase ethical and alternate forms of investment and their implications for communities. Above all, it will provide the socially responsive investor with an array of choices to explore.
Speakers will include: Tim Costello, Kay Wood, Cynthia Murphy (the wacky widow), and a host of others.
The expo aims to bring those wanting to learn about the ethical and alternate investment sector together in a friendly social environment devoid of sales pressures and with enough entertainment to make for a pleasant family Sunday outing. It will also work to increase the profile of socially responsible investment in Gippsland. It is planned to launch the Delburn Foundation, which will be an auxiliary charitable foundation for Gippsland, at the expo.
Workshops will be run throughout the day and will feature:
An entertaining topical “debate” ,
Individual profiles of investments currently available in the marketplace,
Case studies from various industries eg. Solar energy and recycling projects,
Problem solving scenarios for companies who are seeking investment in their enterprise (what has worked and what hasn’t)
The expo will run as a not-for-profit event
