The Professional Assistants Network Gippsland (PANG) is a special interest group of the Australian Institute of Management.

PANG was established in 2000, and includes members from industries and businesses such as power, education, environmental management, agriculture, health, finance, hospitality and water.

PANG aims to provide a forum for like-minded professionals to meet and share experience and information and form ‘network’ groups in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

PANG will be hosting a function sponsored by Loy Yang Power and Monash University Gippsland titled "Listen to your Body" on Wednesday 17th April 2002 at 6pm at the Business and Economics Conference Centre at Monash University Gippsland.

The guest speaker for the evening is Sandra Villella who is a naturopath, herbalist and acupuncturist who practices in the area of women’s health.

Ms Villella studied naturopathy at the Southern School of Natural Therapies and completed post-graduate studies at RMIT in a Master of Applied Science – Acupuncture and has been practising in Melbourne since 1994.

Ms Villella is a popular speaker on natural therapies throughout Victoria and interstate for the Jean Hailes Foundation – a foundation focusing on creating healthier futures for women, educating women on their options and the choices in peri-menopause.

Ms Villella also presents lectures at professional seminars throughout Australia.

PANG also has its Professional Development Day coming up on Friday August 2, which is also at Monash University Gippsland.

The facilitator for that day will be Marion Fox, psychologist and member of the Australian Psychological Society.

All of her workshops are based on practical experience, adult learning principles and behaviour and skills relevant to participants.

Over the last few years Ms Fox has largely focused on interpersonal skill development including oral communication, customer service skills, conflict management, telephone techniques and receptionist skills.

For any enquiries or further information on either of these functions please contact Sue Townsend on 5122 6987.
