Leader of the opposition, Simon Crean tours the sights of the Latrobe Valley

The Federal Shadow Cabinet meeting for McMillan Electorate was staged today at Churchill's GREEN Inc. building.
Following the meeting, the leader and individual Shadow Ministers will visit local businesses and organizations in the Gippsland region.
Members of the Gippsland organizations that are meeting with the Ministers today are reportedly impressed about the levels of interest that the opposition has illustrated.
The itinerary for the meeting and visits across the Latrobe Valley is as follows:

1:30pm PaperLinx – Maryvale Mill
Maryvale Road, Maryvale
Briefing by management & tour of facility
Jenny Macklin, Deputy Leader & Shadow Minister of Employment, Education, Training & Science
1:30pm Gippsland Group Training
Tramway Road, Morwell
Tour of facility & discussion with management
3:00pm Central Gippsland Institute of TAFE
Midvalley Campus
Cnr Princes Dve & Monash Way, Morwell
Tour of campus & meeting with CEO & management
Craig Emerson, Shadow Minister for Innovation, Industry, Trade & Tourism, Senator Stephen Conroy, Deputy Senate Leader & Shadow Minister for Finance, Small Business & Financial Services
1:30pm Loy Yang Power Station
Bartons Lane, Traralgon South
Tour of facility & briefing with CEO & management
