Proposed lease agreement for Lake Narracan

Latrobe City Council is seeking public comment on entering into a proposed long term lease agreement with the Latrobe Valley Water Ski Club (LVWSC).

By Latrobe City Council - 12th April 2005 - Back to News

Latrobe City Council’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Buckley said that LVWSC had requested that Latrobe City enter into a long term lease agreement with the club, to improve opportunities for securing major tournaments and to ensure the continued development of its facilities.

"LVWSC has previously held short term leases for the club’s facilities and exclusive access to the water at Halls Bay, Lake Narracan, on weekends and specified days during the summer season.

"As part of the consideration of this request, Latrobe City is seeking public comments detailing potential impacts of Council entering into a proposed long term lease agreement, based on current short term arrangements," Mr Buckley explained.

Submissions should be addressed in written format, and are to be directed to the Chief Executive Officer, Latrobe City Council, PO Box 264 Morwell 3840, by close of business on Friday 6 May 2005.

For further information about the proposed lease agreement, please contact Ian Murphy, Leisure Facilities Coordinator, telephone 5128 5660.
