Victorian Small Business Festival Comes To Latrobe City

Celebrating Victoria’s Small Business Festival, to be held from 1 to 31 August 2013, Latrobe City will host three workshops for those already in, or thinking about starting up, a small business.

By Latobe City - 19th July 2013 - Back to News

Latrobe City mayor, Councillor Sandy Kam, said that the festival aimed to improve small business productivity by providing ideas and information on starting and growing a business.

"Latrobe City Council is participating in this year’s festival by hosting a number of workshops and seminars across the municipality. Local business associations will help with promotion and marketing of the events within their networks to ensure that local businesses are well informed. The workshops cover starting up a small business and having an online and social media presence – hot topics that are well worth devoting a few hours to.

"We already have a multitude of flourishing small businesses in our municipality and we are committed to providing as much support as possible to those already established and those keen to start. Running a small business takes commitment and courage and we hope that these workshops will offer useful and useable advice, hints and tips to help give them a business edge," Cr Kam said.
