Recovery office now operating at Traralgon service centre

Latrobe City has established a recovery office at the Traralgon service centre in Kay Street, Traralgon, to assist Latrobe City residents affected by the recent bushfires.

Latrobe City’s general manager City Services, Peggy Stevenson, said a number of Latrobe residents have suffered property loss and in many cases emotional trauma as a result of the fires.

"The recovery office is a sort of one-stop shop where residents affected by the bushfires can seek advice, referral and support to help them along the road to recovery - which in turn will help them rebuild their lives," Ms Stevenson said.

The recovery office will be staffed by Latrobe City’s recovery officer, Tracey Finlay and will be staffed from 9am until 1pm Monday to Friday. No appointments are necessary.

The recovery office can be contacted by telephoning Latrobe City on 1300 367 700 during business hours, or 0448 533 994 if residents need to make contact with the recovery office after hours.

"Members of Latrobe City’s recovery team are also happy to meet with residents at an alternative location, including a resident’s property, if they prefer," Ms Stevenson added.
