Member for Gippsland Province, Peter Hall, said 10 of the State Nationals MPs from across Victoria would be visiting Traralgon and surrounding areas for the meeting.

"This visit is part of the ongoing series of Country Feedback meetings we are holding and I am very keen to host my colleagues in Traralgon," Mr Hall said.

"Whilst our Leader, Peter Ryan, is often in the region, given that his electorate is Gippsland South and he resides in Sale, the rest of the team is interested in catching up on recent developments in Traralgon and Morwell."

Mr Hall said The Nationals would hold their regular party meeting at the Latrobe City council chambers but before that they are having a "Meet The Team" in the Stockland Plaza Food Court from 10-00am until 10-45am.

The MPs will also meet with councillors from Latrobe City before splitting off into groups for different activities through the afternoon.

The group will firstly be heading to Australia Paper for a site visit and briefing, before driving to Morwell to meet at Central Gippsland TAFE, where they will be briefed on the Institute’s programs, along with an update on the Gippsland Education Project.

Whilst one group will then visit the Latrobe Regional Hospital for talks, another will take part in a visit of Gippsland Aeronautics, while the third group will meet with representatives from the Building industry.

Mr Hall said the Country Feedback tours were designed to give all Nationals MPs an idea of the local issues in each area.

"It is important that the entire team is aware of some of the specific challenges facing their colleagues’ electorates and also see the good things that are going on throughout country Victoria.
