The group discussed current and future issues facing the snow pea industry and how Council may be able to assist with possible solutions.

The South Gippsland area is one of the states major producers of snow peas.

Cr Goodwin says that meetings with groups like the South Gippsland Snow Pea Farmers Alliance, is very important to sustaining local industry and ensuring Council is aware of how particular industry sectors are performing.

"If there are any local industries facing issues that Council may be able to help with I would encourage them to contact Allan or their local Councillor and organise a time to meet," said Cr Goodwin.
