Honoring impactful seniors

Ms Bath said, "The Victorian Senior of the Year Awards are an important platform to honour and celebrate our older community members as parents, grandparents, carers, mentors, and volunteers. "Seniors play a pivotal role, generously volunteering their time to assist and uplift others in need. As I engage with seniors across the electorate, I am continually inspired by their contributions to the community. It is essential we collectively celebrate and acknowledge their effort and impact."

The Victoria Senior Awards encompass a number of categories including Victorian Senior of Year Award, multiculturalism, healthy and active living, veteran community, ageing well and significant contribution to local communities.

Nominate inspiring seniors

Ms Bath said given that seniors enrich many of our lives and actively contribute to the economy, it would be wonderful to have a local win a state award this year "I am strongly encouraging people from eastern Victoria to nominate seniors who are making a significant contribution to our community," said Ms Bath.

Nominations are open to individuals aged 60 years or older, or 50 years and older for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Victorians.
