Awards For Those Who Make A Difference

The Nationals member for Morwell Russell Northe has encouraged individuals, businesses, and community groups in the Latrobe Valley to nominate for this year’s Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards.

"The Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards highlight, acknowledge and reward the valuable contribution individuals, businesses and community groups make towards building a strong local community," Mr Northe said.

"I encourage you to nominate an individual or a group you know that deserves recognition for their commitment and community contribution. These people make a huge different in our region through their hard work, dedication and innovation."

Nominations are now open in the following categories:

"Great prizes are on offer including a share in $16,000 in Goalsaver Accounts from the Commonwealth Bank and airtime packages on Prime Television.

"Our local achievers deserve acknowledgement and recognition, and I encourage everyone to consider making a nomination," Mr Northe said.

Nominations close Wednesday 13^th July 2011 and winners will be announced at a Gala Awards Presentation Dinner to be held on Saturday 15^th October 2011.
