Bath urges local sports clubs to apply for up to $5000 grants from Sporting Club Grants Program by 11 October 2024
Melina Bath, Nationals' Member for Eastern Victoria, is encouraging local sporting clubs to apply for grants of up to $5000 through the Sporting Club Grants Program, open until October 11.
The Nationals' Member for Eastern Victoria, Melina Bath is encouraging local sporting clubs to apply for the latest round of the Sporting Club Grants Program. Grants of up to $5000 are available to support community clubs.
Applicants for Sporting Club Grants Program must submit a completed application via the DJSIR Grants Portal before 4 pm on Friday 11 October 2024
Grant categories
Applications for this round of the program are open until October 11, with funding available across various categories. The grant categories include:
- $5000 for training coaches and volunteers
- $4000 for setting up new sports or active recreation programs
- $1000 for uniforms and equipment
- $750 to assist clubs with travel to away games and competitions
Ms Bath said our sporting clubs are grassroots organisations, and receiving a grant can make a positive difference. "Our community clubs are most often run on a shoestring budget and grants can assist provide the necessary equipment, support for volunteers, coaching, and player development," she said.
Grants strengthen communities
Ms Bath added, "They are a big part of our lives, bringing people together, keeping us active, and providing opportunities for people of all ages to get involved. A grant can go a long way in making things easier for clubs to run smoothly, while helping to enhance community connection and belonging."
