By news@gippsland - 27th April 2016 - Back to News Residents from across Latrobe City have been very active in contributing practical feedback and personal thoughts on Latrobe City Council’s 2016/17 Draft Budget.
Latrobe City Council’s mayor, Councillor Michael Rossiter, said that with over 100 written submissions already received and 375 views on the website, Council was encouraged by the level of community interest demonstrated in the Draft Budget process so far.
"Anyone interested in finding out more about the Draft Budget document, how Council operates its range of services and what 2016/17 has in store for them, is invited to attend any of the remaining public information sessions.
"I was in our Traralgon library today and the display materials were attracting a lot of attention and some interesting conversations.
"I’m hoping we can capture that via submissions or that people will take the time to turn up at the information sessions to have a discussion with Councillors and Council staff," Cr Rossiter concluded.
