By Wellington Shire Council - 28th September 2006 - Back to News

The workshop "How to make your meetings more effective and efficient" will be run by Grant Soosalu, author of Total Quality Meetings.

"We have hundreds of community groups across our shire. They are very important, they bring people together, provide opportunities and activities for residents and make Wellington a vibrant place to live" said Cr Malcolm Hole, Mayor of Wellington Shire Council

"This workshop will provide some information and tips that may improve the way their club or organisation operates"

"This is another Wellington Shire initiative to assist community groups and particularly all the wonderful volunteers. We encourage anyone involved in a community group, particularly office bearers or those that may wish to take up a position to come along and improve their skills"

The workshop is part of the Community Groups Information series that will cover various topics, including Fantastic fundraising, Communicating with your community and Is my group legal?
